I speak a different language than most of my doctor peers. I used to hide this and feel embarrassed by my unscientific, feeling approach. Now that I am "unattached" and working on my own, this style comes forth freely. When did the words "love" and "spirit" and "beliefs" and "fear" and "loneliness" become unacceptable in healing circles? These words and their many synonyms and antonyms are at the core of healing and health. These words are the true language of getting well and must be looked at, felt, processed and allowed to move through us so that we can make shifts in our being that precede healing. In this awesome modern age of high tech solutions to medical issues, there is a tendency to dismiss these innate human feelings. It is certainly less messy when we can just take a pill or let an expert cut out our ailment. It is downright hard to sit with negative feelings like shame, guilt, sadness, fear or anger. So why do it?...
A medical challenge is an opportunity to heal.
