Communication vs. Connection

Check out this great TED talk:

Sherry Turkle: Connected but Alone?

This beautiful video cuts right to the heart of what Pando is all about. We, living in this modern age, are caught in a paradox. We have spectacular technology designed and made nearly universal for connecting us to each other and ourselves but we are becoming more alone, more isolated and more disconnected. While this style of living "works" for the pace and style of life that has become our world, it does NOT work for a huge portion of the travelers in this world. These people (which I would argue is the vast majority) crave and long for something deeper and much more meaningful than sharing information.

There is and has always been a deep hunger for a deep and real connection with other humans and for our own selves. This is the issue at hand. This is the solution for SO many of the problems in our world including chronic disease management in the medical world. Can we face this reality and bring it to the light of our collective consciousness? Will we try? At Pando, this is our mission.

IT'S HAPPENING

Wow, the information available on CCSVI on the internet is truly amazing! I have to admit: I did not research this topic as well as I could have. I did not read the study from Poland before my procedure. I did not realize all the excitement combined with incredible knowledge that is coming out of Georgetown. I am just reading them now and I can hardly contain myself. There is so much data available on CCSVI from around the world. I acted more on a deep gut feeling that CCSVI was real and was my path to healing. I was a little desperate as I felt myself sliding over the last year and didn't feel right with the auto-immune drugs. CCSVI just made sense to me; really good sense. Now reading the data, I am so excited for huge numbers of people to get healed/opened/freed! After doing a little research, it seems that nearly all people with definite MS have CCSVI. It also seems that people with MS who have the procedure have less flairs over time and a better quality of life. Some get a lo...

6 month update and announcement

Wow, it is has been 6 weeks since my last writing. I am currently in Lake Tahoe on holiday with Grace and our puppies. It is amazingly beautiful here. We have come here in the summers intermittently over the past 20 years. Last summer was very difficult for me as I could not sleep and was extremely limited in my activities. It was the lowest I have ever been in my memory. Hiking amidst the beauty is what we love and not being physically able was very hard on me mentally. Thanks to the Liberation Procedure and lots of rehab/re-training, I am very happy to say that I am back on the trails and able to see, feel and experience the beauty again. I am deeply grateful to once again be a participator in this magical life. Nature has always been my temple/church and movement in nature truly lights my fire. Swimming in Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountain lakes rejuvenates me in ways that nothing I have ever experienced can or does. My favorite hike here -- Five Lakes -- is a rigorous hike u...

The Wind

Tonight after work, I went for a walk with my dogs. The weather had changed and it was blustery. The first half of the walk was against the wind. It felt good. The way back was with a strong wind. It felt incredible! I have not moved that fast in years. I wasn't running but I was striding like I haven't in what feels like a decade. It was nearly effortless. I wasn't out of breath; it was easy. I haven't felt ease in a VERY LONG time but I did tonight. I have been walking once or often twice a day with my dogs. My energy is really good. I only drink 1 cup of coffee a day(used to need 2-3 with a diet coke at lunch). I am working more without any of the exhaustion. Today is my 3 week anniversary since the Liberation Procedure. I do feel like I have been liberated. I have a different body. I have energy -- that is the biggest change. It really feels good to be able to walk without intense focus. I can relax. I can let the wind push me and feel light. That is what I have n...
