Headaches ruin your day. The medical approach to headaches is mostly geared to stopping a headache once it has started. Over the counter pain remedies (Tylenol, Advil, Aspirin) are the usual standbys but the regimen gets extended when someone goes to the doctor. Pain medicines (codeine, etc) are not very effective and highly addictive.
